Safeguarding
Safeguarding
Victoria Housing supports adults who may be vulnerable. Safeguarding is part of everyday practice for our team, not a separate exercise.
The full approved wording for this policy is being finalised. The summary below explains our position in plain terms; the final policy document will replace this page once approved.
Our commitment
We aim to provide accommodation and support in a way that keeps residents safe, treats them with respect and takes concerns seriously.
Staff are expected to recognise and report concerns about the welfare of any resident promptly.
Raising a concern
If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a resident, contact our team during office hours on the number below. If the concern is urgent, use the 24-hour emergency line on 0345 512 0083.
If somebody is in immediate danger, always call the emergency services on 999 first.
What happens next
Concerns are reviewed by the Victoria Housing team and, where appropriate, referred to the relevant statutory agencies such as the local authority adult safeguarding team or the police.
